The Uncensored Self presents
Reclaim your creative life force.
Come back to yourself.
A 3-month intimate group & 1:1 experience for women and vulva beings who have lost their spark — and are ready to find it again.
A note on Eros
Eros — in its oldest sense — is not just desire for another person. It is the energy that makes you want to create, to move, to feel, to be fully alive. It is what makes you reach toward beauty. What makes you want things.
When we lose that — when we go numb, when we disconnect from our bodies, when we stop wanting — we don’t just lose passion. We lose ourselves.
Edge of Erotic is a container for reclaiming that. Not through performance. Not through fixing yourself. But through devotion. Through self-portraits. Through the quiet, powerful act of turning the lens on your own life.
“The spark you’re looking for hasn’t gone anywhere.
It’s been waiting for you to come back to it.”
Is this for you
You used to feel it — that aliveness, that pull toward beauty and pleasure and creativity. Maybe it faded slowly. Maybe something happened. Maybe you just got very, very tired of holding everything together.
The shift
Where you are now
Where you’re going
The program
Over three months, we move through six calls — a blend of group work and individual 1:1 time — to guide you from disconnection into devotion.
The journey
Each call builds on the last. We move from understanding to embodiment to expression — and by the end, to devotion.
We begin by getting honest about where you are. What does aliveness feel like for you? When did you last feel it? This call is about naming the disconnection and getting clear on what you’re coming back to — not what you think you should want, but what you actually do.
Group CallYou can’t photograph yourself from the outside in. This call is about coming back into your body — learning to feel rather than perform, to be present rather than observed. We explore embodiment practices, what it means to exist in your body with softness, and how to create safety for the work ahead.
Group CallThis is your private session with Melissa. We go deep into what self-devotion means for you specifically — what you need, what you’ve been denying yourself, and how to design a self-portrait practice that feels genuinely yours. We also map the concept for your visual altar.
1:1 with MelissaThe practical call. We cover everything you need to take self-portraits that feel alive — lighting, composition, movement, working with your phone or camera. This is not about getting the perfect shot. It’s about learning to use the camera as a tool for self-exploration, not self-criticism.
Group CallHow do you look at yourself? This call explores the difference between looking at yourself as a subject to be judged versus as someone worthy of being seen. We bring our images into the group, practice reviewing them with curiosity rather than criticism, and explore what it means to truly see yourself.
Group CallWe close by witnessing each other’s altars — the visual collections each of you has created. This call is about integration, celebration, and commitment. You leave not with a finished product but with a living practice: a way of returning to yourself, again and again, for the rest of your life.
Group CallIn their words
“I had a safe place to explore my self identity because I am going through such a major transition. This practice is empowering because it will give me the courage to evolve.”
Kristina G.
“It had a lot more questions than I was expecting to self-reflect, to really get in touch with my most authentic self, to get in touch with the vision I was looking to create.”
Courtney S.
“She was kind, nurturing, and allowed me to express myself in a beautiful way. I felt way more comfortable than I ever had in any other context.”
Jillian C.
Your guide
I’m a self-portrait photographer and self-expression coach, and I’ve spent years turning the camera on myself in ways that have genuinely changed how I see myself — and how I move through the world.
I know what it feels like to be numb. To go through the motions. To look in the mirror and not recognize the person looking back. I also know what it feels like to come back.
Self-portraits were the practice that made the difference for me. Not because they’re magic — but because they require you to show up, to pay attention, to be present with yourself in a way that most of us never allow.
Edge of Erotic is the most intimate container I’ve ever held. It combines the embodiment work, the self-portrait practice, and the devotional ritual that I wish someone had handed me when I first started finding my way back to myself.
I built this for you. I hope you’ll come.

Questions
Is this a photography course?
Photography is part of it — but it’s not the point. This program is about using self-portraits as a tool for reconnecting with your creative life force, your body, and yourself. You will learn the practical side, but the real work is internal. You don’t need any experience with photography to join.
What does “erotic” mean in this context?
Eros, in its oldest philosophical sense, is not about sex — it’s about life force. It’s the energy of desire, creativity, and aliveness. When we talk about Eros here, we’re talking about that energy: the part of you that wants to create, to feel, to be fully present in your own life. This program is non-sexual in nature.
Do I need a camera or special equipment?
No. Your phone is genuinely enough to begin. One of our calls covers the practical side of self-portrait photography — including how to get great results with the equipment you already have.
What if I’m really uncomfortable in front of a camera?
That discomfort is exactly why this program exists. We move slowly, with care, and within the safety of a small, trusted group. You will not be asked to do anything before you’re ready — and we will be with you every step of the way.
How many people will be in the group?
This is a deliberately small container. Exact numbers will depend on the cohort, but you will never be lost in a crowd. The intimacy of the group is a core part of how this works.
What happens after I apply?
Melissa reviews every application personally. If it feels like a good fit, she’ll reach out to schedule a brief conversation before you’re confirmed. If it’s not the right time, she’ll say that honestly too.
The spark is still there.
